Will everyone take Coronavirus vaccine? Examining the limits in democracy

Will everyone get COVID vaccine

The vaccination rate and the politics of vaccination are some of the leading debates in the world. What many do not seem to realize is that 100% of anything is not possible. Even Polio or MMR hasn’t been administered to 100% of people in the world. The reason is simple: Most nations are democracy these days and defiance is the key element of democracy whether anyone likes or dislikes it.

At some point, the world has to move on. Increasingly people are starting to talk about what might possibly be a realistic scenario: an endemic — everyone may get infected. It may also keep on coming in many different variations from time to time. Unfortunately, like other diseases that kill thousands of people every year, this new disease will as well. We can hope that it becomes preventable with vaccines or treatable with medicines. Nearly 2 years into the lonely pandemic, many unintended effects or unknown diseases might be in the making which might be far more challenging than Coronavirus.
